Paul Deach is the County Councillor for Deepcut, Frimley Green and Mytchett.
Originating from Manchester, Paul moved to Godstone in Surrey in 1999, which is where he met his wife and they bought their first home. In 2003, they moved to Deepcut to be closer to family.
Very soon, Paul became involved in the community. Paul chaired and co-founded the Dettingen Residents Committee that successfully removed ineffective managing agent Peverel after a three-year battle, putting the management of Dettingen Park in control of residents.
Paul also founded the Surrey Heath Community First Responders, volunteers who respond to 999 emergencies ahead of an ambulance. As a first responder himself, Paul has attended hundreds of emergencies in his community that included resuscitations, heart attacks and strokes - he's even delivered a baby!
Paul's involvement with local politics started when he created the Surrey Residents Network, which empowered residents across the county by giving them a platform to launch community interest campaigns.
In 2011, he was elected to Surrey Heath Borough Council where he represented Mytchett & Deepcut until May 2023, and in 2017 Paul was elected to Surrey County Council, where he continues to represent Mytchett, Deepcut & Frimley Green.
At Surrey County Council, Paul holds the role of Deputy Cabinet Member for the Environment.
Professionally, Paul is a digital content marking consultant and work with companies, organisations and high-profile individuals to help them produce digital content for their social media platforms.
