Christopher Rowbotham is a Chobham Parish Councillor.
As a long time Chobhamer, Chris has been involved with the village since 1969 whether it be as a local supporter or activist. He chaired the original Chobham fireworks until it outgrew its Burrowhill site in the ‘70’s. As an aviator himself, he has always supported the integrity and continued independence of Fairoaks as an aerodrome.
More recently Chris was on the Executive as a Surrey Heath Borough Councillor contributing to the flooding works which have kept the village clear of flooding for nearly ten years. Chris has been a governor of Wishmore Cross School for over 12 years and more recently wrote a weekly column in the local paper as “Rowbo’s Corner”.
