A huge wildfire at Bisley Ranges is currently being tackled by multiple crews from Surrey Fire & Rescue (SFRS).
Having first started on Monday night (4th July), the total extent of the fire and the damage it has caused is still unclear, however, SFRS believe over 500 hectares of land have been affected.
Residents in the local area have been advised by SFRS to keep windows and door shut if nearby.
Commenting, Cllr Paul Deach said:
"On the evening of 4th July 2022 there was chatter on social media about a fire on Chobham Ridges range danger area.
"This was later confirmed by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service on their Twitter account read "Firefighters are currently dealing with a large wildfire at Bisley Ranges.
"Six fire engines are at the incident and are expected to be there throughout the night. Please keep windows and doors shut if you are nearby.
"On the morning of 5th July 2022 smoke was clearly visible so I put my drone up from Deepcut to take a look and this is the footage I captured."
