At the Executive Meeting of Surrey Heath Borough Council, held on Tuesday 19th October 2021, decisions were made on Local Community Improvement Grants.
Organisations that were awarded grants were:
- £6,148.00 - awarded to Mytchett Community Association for accessibility improvements to the community pond and wildlife area
- £16,600.00 - awarded to Bentley Copse Play Area for replacement of play equipment and safety surfaces
- £28,800.00 - awarded to Frimley Lodge Park Fitness Trail to replace fitness equipment
- £4,900.00 - awarded to Southcote Park Play Area for replacement of safety surfaces
In addition, the Executive made the decision to plant new trees along Camberley High Street.
Camberley High Street has recently been extensively improved with new pavements, road surfaces, street furniture and lighting. Four trees have also been planted. More trees were part of the original design but were unable to plant due to underground services. To bring more trees into the High Street the Executive resolved that eight additional trees in planters will be installed in Camberley High Street.
