Rebecca Jennings-Evans, County Councillor for Lightwater, West End and Bisley, met with Matt Furniss, the County Council Cabinet Member for Transport, Infrastructure & Growth, to discuss residents' concerns over local highways.
Commenting, Rebecca said:
"It was great to be able to discuss local highways areas of concern with Matt Furniss. It will be good to see what is able to be moved forward to improve safety outside of schools, encourage active transport, addressing speeding issues, repairing road surfaces/ pavements and looking at road markings.
"We covered a lot of ground today across Lightwater, West End and Bisley, and we will be working with together to find appropriate solutions. We also spoke with the Head of School at Holy Trinity C of E about ways we can support road safety schemes outside the school.
"If residents would like to feed in any specific areas of concerns, I would be happy to take them up with County."
