Michael met with local hero, Maureen Hume, the organiser behind Camberley’s Alzheimer Café. She has worked tirelessly for many years to support local people with dementia and their carers, providing important information on Alzheimer’s Disease in a warm and friendly environment.
The café meets on the 3rd Monday evening of each month at St. Martin’s Church in Old Dean, where local people can enjoy live music and refreshments, and share their experiences and learn more about Dementia.

Michael commented:
“Camberley’s Alzheimer Café is so much more than a café. It provides friendship and support, and I am so impressed by the brilliant and effective work Maureen and the volunteers do. Maureen truly has shown inspiring leadership and an amazing act of kindness with all that she has done.”
