School drop-off and pick-up times can sometimes be a rush for parents, however, there's no excuse for selfishness in parking inconsiderately in anti-social manner that can cause chaos on local roads.
At The Grove Primary Academy this morning (Friday 17th May), Michael Gove MP and Cllr Edward Hawkins met with Academy Head Lynn Wicksey and local Surrey Police officers to address resident's concerns over the problems this type of parking is causing.
Commenting, Michael said:
"A huge thank you to Academy Head, Lynn Wicksey, for inviting me, local County Councillor, Edward Hawkins and two police officers to The Grove Primary Academy this morning to meet Gorse Road and Montrose Close residents.
"Local residents recently launched a petition calling for action to tackle the problems relating to road safety and anti-social parking by parents during school drop-off and pick-up times.
"It was incredibly helpful for everyone to be brought together to discuss the issues and the potential measures available to alleviate the problems."
