This year's Pride in Surrey event is set to be hosted in Guildford, marking the fifth year the event has been running.
A parade will take place along the High Street, followed by a day-long festival at Stoke Park on Saturday 21st September.
Previous towns to host the event include Camberely, where Pride in Surrey came to Watchetts Recreation Ground in the summer of 2022.
A representative from Guildford Borough Council, who are hosting the event, stated the celebration “promises to be a spectacular showcase of LGBTQ+ culture and heritage from across Surrey”.
There's set to be an array of activities and entertainment for people of all ages, with live music, performances and food vendors.
Commenting, the Chief Executive of Pride in Surrey, Charlie Watts, said:
"I am thrilled to be bringing Pride to Guildford this year to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Pride in Surrey. Each year we anticipate a significant economic boost to our host town on Pride Day.
“With a yearly average of £350,000 being generated on the day of the event, we’re not only celebrating diversity and inclusion but also supporting local businesses and showcasing all that Guildford has to offer.”
Tickets can be purchased from the Pride in Surrey website and are offered on a 'pay what you can basis'.
