I recently attended a very useful visit to the Surrey Police HQ at Mount Browne, Guildford for a discussion with senior staff in the Commissioners office.
We visited the Surrey Police 999 and 101 call centre and the control room to which calls are passed to for Police to be despatched to incidents. Both very impressive setups.
We also visited the Surrey Police Dog Training School, which trains dogs from puppies (and their handlers!) not only for use in Surrey but for other Police forces in the UK... and abroad. We met four trained dogs about to go to Hong Kong!
Separately, I also recently met the Chief Constable of Surrey Police, Mr Tim De Meyer, and raised concerns regarding traffic, road safety and speeding, and crime in rural areas.
And this evening I attended a Surrey Police public event in Guildford attended by the Chief Constable, the Police Borough Commander for Guildford, and the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend. There was a wide ranging question and answer session covering many topics.
