Embracing myFrimleyHealthRecord – A Digital Solution for Healthcare in the Face of Royal Mail Inefficiency
Recently, I have been getting a lot of communication and tagged into social media posts from local residents concerned about the exceptionally poor service provided by Royal Mail. Some local residents are reporting that they are sometimes going weeks without receiving any mail.
One of the most distressing impacts of this is on patients of Frimley Park Hospital who are anxiously awaiting test results or appointments. I know this is something that our MP Michael Gove is looking into.
One local resident, my good friend Zillah Chester, messaged me this morning to suggest I raise some awareness of myFrimleyHealthRecord.
As someone who is lucky enough to come from a household that is relatively healthy and therefore has not needed the services of the hospital for a long time, this is something that has escaped my notice. However, Zillah sparked my curiosity when she said myFrimleyHealthRecord enables patients to make appointments and see clinic letters and pathology results all online.
The Royal Mail situation is a national issue that I do not see being resolved quickly. Yes, I can write to the local sorting office and add to the enormous pressure they are clearly already under, but I would rather spend time helping the residents I represent find practical solutions to the most critical impacts of Royal Mail inefficiency.
Therefore, this afternoon, while flying home from my annual summer holiday I spent some time researching the benefits of myFrimleyHealthRecord and how it might help people impacted by Royal Mail delivery issues.
I have written this blog which explains it in full.
If you are or know someone who is a patient at Frimley Park Hospital and are effected by Royal Mail delivery issues, then this is the simple solution to that problem. A huge thank you to Zillah Chester for bringing myFrimleyHealthRecord to my attention.
