Tomorrow is Polling Day in Surrey Heath.
Residents across the Borough will have the opportunity to elect a new administration, to deliver on their priorities at Surrey Heath Borough Council
We are fielding strong local candidates in every ward across the Borough - the only party to do so! - as we believe in engaging and listening with all residents.
Our candidates have been engaging and campaigning for the past several months in the hope that you might lend them your vote, and elect a hard working Council that will carry on delivering for residents with a proven track record of investment and regeneration, working with our police to ensure low crime rates, preserving and enhancing our green spaces, and delivering high quality services for residents.
Thank you to all those that turn out to vote, no matter which party (or independent!) you may choose to back.
Commenting, Cllr Tony Henderson, standing for Bisley & West End Ward, said:
"As we approach polling day for the local elections, Thursday 4 May, I thought it was a good time to thank everyone who has taken the time to speak to me during the campaign. I appreciate having people knock on your door, or press the increasingly popular video doorbells, to ask for your vote, isn't everyone's idea of fun, but it is an important part of our democratic process.
"I have been pleased to talk about the work I have done for the community as a member of West End Parish Council and how I would be honoured to extend that work at Borough level on behalf of Bisley and West End. I believe that our democratic process works best when candidates talk positively about what they want to do and listen with respect to the views of electors.
"No one wants someone standing on their doorstep telling them what's wrong with the country (particularly when it's a local election). They want people who say how they will work to make things better and be responsive to the needs of the community.
"I am standing for both West End Parish Council and Surrey Heath Borough Council. My fellow Conservative candidates for borough are Alex Hanney and Adrian Page.
"Finally, polls open tomorrow, Thursday 4 May at 7am and close at 10pm. Don't forget to bring photo ID with you and once again thank you to people who gave me their time."
