Having a cohesive team that is working towards the same end goal is vital in order to deliver for residents across Surrey Heath. That's why there are regular catch-ups held between our councillors, across all three levels, and our Member of Parliament.
Michael Gove MP visited Surrey Heath House, in Camberley, for a meeting with the Council Leader, Cllr Alan McClafferty, and the Chief Executive, Damian Roberts, to be updated on the Council's plans for the borough, including regenerating the town centre and improving services for the villages. As the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, these meetings help Michael directly shape Government policy through listening to the priorities of local authorities and deliver real outcomes for communities.
Commenting, Michael said:
"This afternoon, I stopped by Surrey Heath House to catch-up with the Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council and the Chief Executive. As ever, it was really helpful to be updated on the Council’s plans for the borough."
