As services are beginning to re-open back to normal, Surrey County Council (SCC) is re-opening the community recycling centres (CRCs) in the county over the next couple of months.
Caterham and Cranleigh CRCs are due to re-open in early July, with the last three remaining CRCs in Bagshot, Dorking, and Warlingham set to open in early August.
The type of waste materials accepted will be limited at smaller sites, so as to allow residents to dispose of the largest volume waste types. This will help to ensure social distancing is maintained for the safety of residents and site staff. Residents who need to dispose of other types of waste will need to go to one of the ten larger sites that are currently accepting more types of waste. Further information is available here.
Cllr Natalie Bramhall, SCC Cabinet Member for Environment and Countryside, said:
“We thank residents for their patience over the last few months and we are delighted our essential waste services are gradually returning to normal.”
