Today the new Community Pillar for Heatherside was unveiled by Michael Gove MP.
The new sign sits proudly in a prime position on Heatherside Recreation Ground, by the roundabout of Cumberland Road and Martindale Avenue. The unveiling event was well attended by local members of the community, Heatherside Ward Borough Councillors, and representatives from the Heatherside Ward Residents Association.
It has taken some time to get the community pillar installed, but thanks to the hard work and commitment of local councillors and the Residents Association, the community pillar is now a great addition to the neighbourhood.
