Surrey Heath Borough Council marks International Women's Day.
Commenting, Cllr Rebecca Jennings-Evans, Portfolio Holder for Places and Strategy, said:
"International Women's Day is for celebrating the achievements of women - and also calling for gender parity. It is vital that we step up and be aware of the significant impact that bias - both conscious and unconscious - has on women's equality, and work to challenge it."
Cllr Shaun Garrett, Portfolio Holder for Safeguarding and Support, said:
"International Women's Day is a valuable opportunity to reinforce the fact that everyone has a role to play in forging a more gender-balanced world.
"As a Council, we commit to supporting the need to break the bias, and make positive gains for women and girls, both locally and more widely."
