A notice for an uncontested election has been announced by Surrey Heath Borough Council for the Bagshot Committee of Windlesham Parish Council.
With this announcement, our candidates Abu Bakar, Frank Du Cann, Mark Gordon, Chris Hill, and Valerie White, all become Councillors to represent Bagshot at the Parish Council.
Andrew Willgoss, standing as an independent, has also been elected to represent the village.
Whilst we are delighted that Abu, Frank, Mark, Chris and Valerie have all been elected, it's a shame that no other political parties stood for the Bagshot Ward of Windlesham Parish Council.
Commenting, Mark Gordon said:
"I will be out and about all week delivering leaflets for the election on 4th May asking you to re elect your existing councillors, me, Valerie White and Frank Du Cann.
"You know I love to chat (I do it for a living in the pub) so feel to grab me for a chat if you see me out and about for pop in to the Kings Arms for a chat anytime about anything village related.
"All three of us have just secured our seats in Windlesham Parish Council for the next term but we need your support on 4th May for the Borough elections.
"We all live in the village and have raised our families here so we care deeply about what happens , we have all worked hard to improve life for our residents, through our work on the Bagshot committee, we have just ordered the outdoor gym , work has been placed to upgrade school lane field play area and we have secured funds for the other Bagshot play areas.
"We are working with SCC to improve the roads , we have requested the High St be re lined and we are working hard on traffic calming measures.
"We would love your support this May to keep on working for you all."
