The M3 runs for almost ten miles through Surrey Heath, and the noise generated has considerable impact on residents, particularly in Windlesham Parish.
Michael Gove MP held a useful discussion this morning between National Highways, local Councillors Rebecca Jennings-Evans and Richard Tear, and the Chair of The Windlesham Society, on what action can be taken to address this issue.
Commenting, Michael said:
"Earlier today, I met representatives from National Highways in Windlesham, overlooking the M3, together with local County Councillors, Richard Tear and Rebecca Jennings Evans, and the Chair of the Windlesham Society.
"We had a very helpful discussion about tackling noise and air pollution emanating from the motorway, and I will be writing again to the Transport Secretary about what can be done to mitigate the problems."
