Around midnight Friday 16 February, a suspected ram raid took place at the Co-op along Frimley Road, Camberley.
The wall of the Co-op store was completely ripped apart with witnesses describing hearing a vehicle crash into the wall at speed, and seeing a group of people loading the cash machine before being chased by Surrey Police. The cash machine was reportedly dragged down the road and left at the junction.
The vehicle used by the criminals was found dumped in the car park outside M&S at The Meadows. Co-ops in nearby Ewell, Church Crookham and Yateley have also recently been targeted in similar incidents.
Commenting, Michael said:
"It was particularly useful to meet with local Cllrs. Katia Malcaus Cooper and Mike Goodman in Lightwater earlier today where we discussed the recent ram raid at the Co-op on Frimley Road in Camberley last week. It is important to stay vigilant and please report any information to the police."
