Surrey Police have welcomed an additional 222 frontline officers to the force since 2019.
This announcement comes as part of the Government's Police Officer Uplift programme.
Commenting, the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey, Lisa Townsend, said:
"I’m pleased that there are now 222 more officers in Surrey than there were in 2019, and that more are still to come.
"Surrey police have been working hard to recruit officers which has involved recruiting many more than the 222 new officers, in order to grow the overall establishment as well as replace those leaving."
