Chobham has a long and rich history in agriculture and horticulture, with a show hosted every year by the Chobham Agricultural & Horticultural Society, showcasing giant marrows and the village's best kept garden.
Michael Gove MP visited Plants. Ltd, a supplier of hardy nursery stock, to meet with local garden nursery owners.
Commenting, Michael said:
"This morning, I visited Plants Ltd., a huge wholesale nursery in Chobham that has been trading since 1975. It was a pleasure to meet the Director, Rachel Blakey, and her father, Peter, along with several representatives from other nearby nurseries.
"We discussed many topics, such as overseas trade and importing goods, as well as challenges this industry is facing, which I have promised to relay to my Cabinet colleagues."
