Each year Surrey County Councillors get an allocation of funds to spend on support for local community causes. This year my Member's Community Allocation of £5,000 has gone to support seven projects that I hope will improve lives and have a beneficial effect for residents:
- Surrey Celebration Fund £500 to recognise and reward our looked after children and care leavers for their achievements.
- Camberley Men in a Shed £500 to help with their setting up costs as a new charity
- Cordwalles Junior School £508 for partnering to improve children's mental health
- Appeer CIC £750 for gaming activities which bring together autistic girls and women in Camberley
- Club Dean £1,000 to support continued and extended provision of their youth club activities
- Sight for Surrey £1,000 to support sight impaired people in Surrey Heath
- Stepping Stones DS £742 to support their outreach services for children in the Camberley area
- Cllr Trefor Hogg
