Well it may have been ‘feeling hot, hot, hot’ today but there were plenty of residents out in the villages supporting all the fabulous community events going on.
This morning I headed to Bagshot to support Cllr Valerie White at the Bagshot Chapel Heritage Day on behalf of Windlesham Parish Council. It was lovely to see Bagshot residents new and old (travelling from as far as Cheadle Hulme) to reminisce over fond memories of their times in Bagshot.
Next I headed to Lightwater for the fabulous ‘Fayre in the Square’ and support @Lightwatersociety and Cllr James Harris and Cllr Katia Malcaus Cooper. It was lovely to see the square buzzing. We are so lucky to have these events put on for the village and support local businesses. Also managed to fit in a quick lunch and a much needed cold drink from the brilliant Randalls Coffee and Wine Bar.
I finished the day with a visit to the ‘West End Show’. It was amazing to see so many participants taking part in the various classes and clearly there was a lot of local talent, young and old on show. I have no doubt the Barn Dance will be a foot stomping success tonight.
A full day indeed but I can’t say enough how lucky we all are to have these amazing communities on our doorstep. Our villages are an amazing place to call home!
