One of the co-founders of the Free Food Stall on the Old Dean has been nominated for the Make It Happen Community Hero Award.
The Free Food Stall was co-founded by the Reverend Chris Richardson and Trefor Hogg, back in June 2020, and Chris has been nominated for this award.
Commenting, Trefor said:
After the 12-week nomination window, Stars in Surrey saw a total of 464 nominations, and we are now one step closer to the second Surrey-wide recognition awards.
One of those nominees is my co-founder of the Free Food Stall, Rev. Chris Richardson Vicar of St. Martin's Camberley. Chris has a very much deserved nomination for the:
Make It Happen Community Hero Award (Empowering Communities)
What happens next?
There will be a panel of three judges for each award category, and they will whittle down the nominations to a shortlist of three finalists for each award. The three finalists will then be invited to attend our awards ceremony, which will take place at G Live in Guildford on Tuesday 5 December.
Once all the judging panels have made their decisions, we will be in touch again to let nominees know if they have made the shortlist.
What are the judges looking for?
All nominations will be judged based on how the person, team or project has:
- Improved the local community or made a difference at the council
- Embodied our values outlined in The Surrey Way
- Positively affected people living and working in Surrey
- Inspired others to undertake positive action
Fingers firmly crossed for Chris.
