At Full Council today, among others I was speaking up for our bus services.
I also proposed an original motion for a more joined-up approach to Council services that looks at their wider impact.
"The additional monies provided by the government to help fund bus services in Surrey are extremely welcome. I particularly welcome the recent changes to Camberley’s buses with the new 730/731 service, the new 12 service and the improved 34 service with its increased frequency.
"Bus services are vital to those with lower incomes or mobility issues, and I therefore particularly look forward to seeing a move by Surrey towards delivering more bus services, more facilities to make bus travel friendlier, more accessible bus stops, more bus shelters and the ultimate game changer for bus users of more real time information displays."
