Bagshot's Princess Cottage restaurant came third in the Tiffin Cup - an annual competition ran by the Tiffin Club to find the best South Asian restaurant in the UK.
Restaurants can only be nominated to the competition by their constituency MP, and Michael Gove put forward Princess Cottage in Bagshot in this year's competition.
Commenting, Michael said:
"Last December, I nominated the Princess Cottage restaurant in Bagshot to take part in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian Restaurant in the country.
"I am absolutely thrilled to report that Princess Cottage came a magnificent third in the competition – such a wonderful accolade. It is greatly deserved, and many congratulations from me.
"Delighted that Cllr Nick Chambers was there at the Awards ceremony to cheer Princess Cottage on, and thank you, Nick!"
