To mark and celebrate Armed Forces Day, Aldershot Garrison organised a Picnic on the Green in Pirbright.
Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday each June, falling this year on 29th June. It is a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community: from currently serving personnel to Service families, veterans and cadets.
It also marks the culmination of a week of celebrations, beginning on Monday 24th June, when the public show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces community
The event was free to attend for all, with plenty of fun had throughout the day, including music provided by the Gordon's School Pipe and Drum, and the Army Medical Services Marching Band.
Commenting, Ed said:
"On Armed Forces Day, it is a time to come together and celebrate our Army, Navy and Air Force and the people and families who support them and their efforts.
"As Her Majesty The Queen said in a recorded video message, the Armed Forces are a 'source of inspiration, reassurance and pride'.
"Today is also a great time to learn about the history and work our Armed Forces do in keeping us safe and secure. Particularly poignant this year on the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.
"I had an amazing day out at Armed Forces Day Picnic on the Green, Pirbright! I even bumped into my old Colour Sergeant Instructor from RMA Sandhurst
"It was really good to see so many veterans, families, charities, local businesses and such good fun! What. A. Day!"
