Trefor Hogg visited the Stripey Stork warehouse in Reigate to see Surrey's largest baby bank, and find out donations of clothes, toys and essential items for babies and children are rehomed with local families experiencing hardship.
The charity helps thousands of families across the county, by passing on new items or ones children have outgrown to families that need a helping hand.
Instead of receiving direct referrals from families/individuals, requests are made from local professionals (schools, health visitors, social workers, family centres, women’s shelters etc.) on behalf of families in need across Surrey.
Commenting, Trefor said:
"Stripey Stork best morning of my month I think - finding out how Nicola Dawes DL and her team move hundreds of tailored support packages for families with children through their warehouse in Reigate every month through their network of organisations working with families. With their help we can do so much more to help local families and children."
