Footpaths across Surrey Heath fall under the responsibility of Surrey County Council, and ensuring they are kept in good condition helps to ensure all residents can use these paths safely.
Following discussions with a number of local residents, Attieh Fard arranged for Paul Deach, Surrey County Councillor for Mytchett, Deepcut & Frimley Green, to conduct an on-site visit of Potteries Lane to inspect the uneven footpath.
Through a lack of maintenance, pavements can deteriorate and can lead to safety hazards such as tripping and falling.
Commenting, Attieh said:
"Over the past several days I have met with a number of residents who have raised the issue of the footpath at the Potteries Lane, I arranged an on-site visit with Cllr Paul Deach on Potteries Lane in Mytchett where the footpath is uneven. During heavy rain such as today some residents with mobility issues struggle to use the path.
"Earlier today I met with Cllr Paul Deach on site to take a look. Cllr Deach is going to investigate who is responsible for the repair work and if it transpires the Council is responsible, he will try to arrange for it to be resurfaced."
