Cllr. Josh Thorne, Borough Councillor for St. Paul's, joined the County Councillor for Camberley East, Trefor Hogg, to inspect Crawley Ridge.
Commenting, Josh said:
"On Thursday this week I joined Cllr Trefor Hogg on a walk along Crawley Ridge to see the issues with the road surface and pavements. Today I was back out on Crawley Ridge and reported a total of 48 cases of potholes, broken curb stones and some fly tipping which I will now monitor to ensure they are fixed/resolved in a timely and sufficient manor.
"In order to do this quickly and effectively, I used an app called ‘FixMyStreet’ which allows you to report a whole host of issues, for example; abandoned vehicles, bus stops, dog fouling, fly tipping, graffiti, parks & landscapes, pavements, pot holes, road traffic signs, refuse, street cleaning, street lighting, traffic lights and also trees but to name a few.
"The benefit of this app is that it does most of the work for you. Once you submit your report and photo it then sends it to the necessary authority/department which saves you having to try and work out who owns/deals with what.
"I hope over the next few weeks to work my way round parts of the ward reporting further issues as they are found."
