Part of the Council's priorities in this year's Annual Plan is to improve the access residents have to services, this involves upgrading the website to make it easier to access a these services online.
The Council will be working with Invuse and Annertech to implement these improvements. In order to identify areas for improvement, an analysis of the website was carried out, with testing on usability and accessibility.
The next stage of the project is user research, with Council staff and Councillors having already been consulted, the Council is now looking to hear the views of residents.
Residents can put forward their views by completing the Council's survey here. Alternatively, you can register to attend one of the two virtual workshops on Wednesday 19th October between 19:00 to 20:00, or Thursday 27th October between 13:00 to 14:00.
Commenting, Cllr Shaun Garrett, Deputy Leader and Executive Portfolio Holder - Economic Development & Transformation, said:
“It is really important that the upgraded website is user-friendly and accessible to as many people as possible. The new website will make it easier to access our services and find information.
"I encourage local people to put their views forward by completing our survey or by joining one of the engagement workshops. This will help us shape the upgraded website based on our users’ needs.”
