Heathrow Airport Ltd. are in the process of consulting local stakeholders on their proposals to expand the airport and implement a change to the airspace.
Given the proximity of Surrey Heath to Heathrow, and how a significant number of residents in the Borough are employed either directly or indirectly with the airport, Michael Gove MP chaired a Q&A meeting for local residents in Lightwater on Heathrow’s Airspace and Future Operations Consultation.
Representatives from Heathrow Airport Ltd. also attended to address concerns of residents.
Commenting, Michael said:
"Positive Q&A session with Heathrow representatives this evening in Lightwater. I feel progress was made in ensuring Heathrow is aware of, and takes into account, the concerns Surrey Heath residents have about its current consultation and any potential airspace changes.
"If you haven’t already done so, please make sure you respond to the consultation before it closes on 4 March. You can do so on their website."
