The Great British Spring Clean aims to improve public places by eliminating litter on our streets, park and beaches.
Not only is litter an eye-sore, but it can damage the environment and it costs local authorities like Surrey Heath Borough Council and Guildford Borough Council substantial amounts each year to clear up. These resources could better used on other services for residents if everyone ensured to correctly recycle and bin their rubbish.
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation's biggest mass-action environmental campaign, and a great opportunity to get out and tidy-up our local communities.
