The new playground at Chobham Road Recreation Ground, Frimley, was opened by the Mayor of Surrey Heath Cllr Sarah Jane Croke.
The playground, designed by Kompan UK, features two multi-play units, a tetrahedron climbing net, and shell seat, flat, cradle and cocowave pendulum swings. Children can also enjoy an ambulance springer, tipi carousel, see-saw and play panels.
Local mum Shalini and her son Aarav were the first to try out the new playground. Shalini said "the new playground is fantastic and it's like an early Christmas present for my son and for other children to enjoy".
The new playground comes as part of our playground refurbishment programme at Surrey Heath Borough Council.
