Following the count last night at Surrey Heath House, the results for the deferred Frimley Green election have been announced.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts of our team and fantastic candidates Stuart Black, Attieh Fard and Howard Thomson, we fell short on this occasion.
Despite this, we increased our total overall vote share by 11.7%, to 39.5% of the 1,869 votes cast. For this election, the Labour party did not stand and there was no UKIP and Independent Group standing as was the case in 2019.
Thank you to all those that turned out to vote, and for all those that voted for our candidates, and Attieh, Stuart and Howard.
This now sees the political make up of Surrey Heath Borough Council with the Lib Dems holding a majority with 24 seats, ourselves with 6, the independent group with 3, and Surrey Heath Labour Party with 2.
Congratulations to Cllr Jacques Olmo , Cllr Helen Whitcroft and Cllr Sashi Mylvaganam who have been duly elected.
