As the General Election draws ever closer, young adults at Frimhurst Enterprises took part in their own election hustings, with candidates, parties and manifestos prepared by those that attend Frimhurst.
Ed McGuinness and Al Pinkerton both attended to participate and listen to the young people, who asked questions to both candidates on the future of the NHS, on social care, poverty, homelessness, and environmental policies to protect the planet.
After the event, Ed and Al had a tour of Frimhurst House and gardens to see some of the amazing work that is done there.
Commenting, Ed said:
"What a fabulous morning at Frimhurst Enterprises today! Such an engaged group of young adults! Really, really enjoyed it! Good luck in your own elections!"

"A huge thank you to Al Pinkerton and Ed McGuinness for taking part in our election. Our team enjoyed quizzing you both and listening to your policies. But to be perfectly honest we do think some of our candidates policies may have trumped yours!
"Thank you for voting and congratulations to Katy and Save Nature party who narrowly beat Sam’s Thinking Party and very closely followed by Charlie’s Stop Moaning Party.
"Two Million adults with learning disabilities in UK and less than 7% in paid work, it was good to have our voices heard."
