This afternoon, Michael Gove MP held a meeting with local Councillor for Lightwater Katia Malcaus Cooper and Cllr Mike Goodman to discuss the recent traveller incursions in our Borough and the detrimental impact this trespassing has on the community.
This follows from the recent incursion on Chobham Common in September, where damage was caused by travellers to the local environment and the Council was left to clean up the waste left on the nature reserve, at a total cost of £15,020.
Commenting, Michael said:
"Very helpful discussion this afternoon with Cllrs Katia Malcaus Cooper and Mike Goodman about the recent traveller incursions in Surrey Heath, and the impact on the community and Council budgets."
