Michael Gove MP visited the Scottish and South Eastern Electricity Networks (SSEN) substation in Bagshot, to learn more on how the electricity network in Surrey Heath powers local resident's homes.
The substation in the village is secondary distribution, which transports electricity from distribution transformers to the premises of consumers at customer use voltages.
Commenting, Michael said:
"This afternoon, I had a tour of the SSEN substation in Bagshot, and I learned a little bit more about the infrastructure and how it connects together in the area to provide electricity to local residents. I also met some of SSEN’s graduates and apprentices, and it was great to hear about their experiences developing their careers."
