Cllr Jonny Cope visited Connect Counselling Service in Camberley, following a recent Ward Councillor grant to help support the charity in delivering professional counselling services to residents from across Surrey Heath.
Having first opened in 1994, the charity has an ethos and background as an organisation rooted in the Christian faith, with services being affordable and accessible to all members of the community, in keeping with the charity's purpose.
Commenting, Jonny said:
"Today I visited Connect Counselling Service in Camberley to look at their premises and discuss the vital work they do providing mental health counselling in our borough and beyond.
"Earlier this year, I was able to support Connect with some funding from Surrey Heath Borough Council’s Ward Councillor Grant Scheme allowing them to purchase some office equipment needed to add an additional room to provide vital counselling services."
