South East Water Public Engagement Meeting

South East Water will be running a public engagement meeting at Tongham Village Hall on Thursday 13th July for residents to raise their views and concerns over the planned closure of The Street.

Recently, Surrey County Council Highways and Cllr Matt Furniss met with South East Water (SEW) to discuss the proposals which will see a new pipeline installed with subsequent road closures for six weeks within the summer holidays.

Cllr Matt Furniss has requested several points to be addressed at the public meeting including:

• Signals on junction of Poyle Road and White Lane.
• Confirmation of diversion signage at junction of The Street and Grange Road to prevent people using it as a cut through.
• Confirmation on arrangements with the ambulance station access - this has now been confirmed with the Ambulance Station.
